What we offer at St. Albans

From puppies learning their first commands to older pets struggling with anxiety, our St. Albans team can provide practical advice and connect you with expert local therapists when specialist help is needed.

Our vets and nurses in St. Albans take the time to get to know you and your pet. Whether you’re managing a new concern, checking up on a long-term condition, or simply keeping them in tip-top shape, we’ll tailor every consultation to their needs.

Sometimes you just need quick reassurance from an expert at a time that suits you. With our live chat feature on our Members’ App, you can get advice from your dedicated St. Albans vet team without waiting for an appointment.

We offer tailored vaccination plans designed around your pet’s lifestyle, alongside a full health check at each vaccination appointment to keep them healthy all year round.

Our clinic also provides specialist vaccines for pets with unique needs or travel requirements, keeping them protected wherever life takes you.

From routine neutering to advanced procedures, including keyhole and orthopaedic surgery, our skilled surgeons in St. Albans provide a wide range of operations with care and precision.

Healthy teeth and gums mean a happier pet. We provide everything from scale and polish treatments to x-rays, extractions, and advanced dental surgery - all right here in our state-of-the-art clinic.

Welcoming a furry new addition to the family? We’ll support you with monthly nurse check-ups, bespoke vaccination schedules, and expert advice to give your puppy or kitten the very best start.

If your pet becomes unwell or injured, our local team is on hand to provide quick, compassionate care when you need it most.

Our in-house laboratory means we can run blood tests, urine checks, and microscopy right here in the St. Albans clinic, with same-day results to put your mind at ease. For more complex cases, we also partner with trusted external labs.

Using advanced tools like digital x-rays, ultrasound, and endoscopy, we can diagnose issues accurately and non-invasively right here in the clinic.

Planning a holiday or more permanent move abroad? We’ll support you through the paperwork, health checks, and vaccinations needed for safe and stress-free travel with your pet.

We provide expert advice on spaying and neutering, including minimally invasive keyhole surgery for eligible pets - helping them recover faster and more comfortably.

From nail trims to ear cleaning, we offer non-cosmetic grooming services to keep your pet comfortable and cared for.

Our quick and reliable microchipping service is identifiable and compliant with UK law - offering peace of mind should your pet ever get lost.

Our St. Albans vets and nurses can advise on the best diet and supplements for your pet’s breed, age, and lifestyle - supporting their health from nose to tail.

With a fully stocked on-site pharmacy, we can provide most medications immediately after your consultation. Written prescriptions are also available on request.

Fleas, ticks, and worms are unfortunately common in Hertfordshire. We create personalised parasite prevention plans to keep your pet protected year-round.

When the time comes to say goodbye, our dedicated St. Albans team will be by your side with a peaceful and dignified farewell for your beloved companion.

And expert capabilities, too:

We understand the importance of reducing stress in our patients, and keeping our feline and canine patients separate is a very effective way of doing this. This is why we have separate cat and dog wards, where all of our cat and dog friendly protocols are in place.

Dentistry is an essential service for our patients and we aim to deliver it to the highest standard possible. This is why we have a fully kitted out dental suite, complete with dental x-ray to make sure that our highly experienced dentistry team can get the best possible outcomes for you beloved companions.

We can perform a non-invasive scan on dogs with any worrying lumps or bumps to help predict malignancy. All dogs can benefit, particularly breeds with predisposition to skin cancer, from French Bulldogs to Boxers.

Dr Simon Hayes is on hand to perform complex corneal surgeries, help with any conformation issues (such as eyelids, skin folds etc), and treat a range of more complex eye conditions. He has over 25 years experience, treating a range of cats, including Persians, and dog breeds including Pugs, Boston Terriers, Pekingese and Shar Peis.

Our spacious kennels are designed to maximise relaxation and recovery. They’re quiet and comfortable, unlike traditional stainless steel cages, are climate controlled, and equipped with different lighting levels for round the clock restfulness. Think of them as a home from home for your pet during their stay.
