Dog-Friendly Care

Thoughtful, low-stress vet care designed entirely around your dog - whatever their age, size or temperament.

(1,500+ Reviews)

What we offer

Calm, dog-friendly consultations

Separate cat and dog waiting areas, peek-a-boo openings in consultation rooms so your dog never feels cornered, and floor-level weighing scales so there's no wobbly platform to navigate. Every detail has been thought through to keep things calm from the moment you walk in.

Inpatient care designed for dogs

A dedicated dog ward, well away from cats, with generously sized kennels so there's plenty of room to move around. Orthopaedic bedding keeps them comfortable, and photo updates through the app mean you always know how they're doing.

Building positive associations

We invite dog parents to pop in just for the fun of it – a visit to the pet pic'n'mix wall, a cuddle from the team, no agenda. It sounds simple, but it's one of the most effective things we do. Even dogs who once dreaded the vet end up coming through our doors with their tails wagging.

Our approach

Designed around dogs

We've thought carefully about what dogs find stressful at the vet - unfamiliar smells, confined spaces, loud sounds - and designed our clinics specifically to address them. The result is a calmer, happier experience, which means better examinations and better care.

Our vet team is experienced with them all - and every dog gets care that's built around them.

The more they visit, the better it gets

Familiarity breeds calm - and our membership model means there's no barrier to coming in as often as you like, whether it's for an appointment or just a friendly hello.

What pet parents are saying

Otis can be unsure around new people and unfamiliar places, but the team have been so caring, patient and considerate. They've taken the time to get to know him and work at his pace, which is already having a positive impact!

Anisa,

Otis' human

The most positive vet experience our nervous Sprocker has ever had. Every single member of staff was kind, calm and engaged.

April,

Jack's human

Monty never misses a chance to stop at Creature Comforts whenever we pass by - it's his favourite place! Thank you to the team for always being so welcoming and kind.

Nigat,

Monty's human

Good to know

If your dog has a particular trigger - another dog in the waiting room, a certain kind of handling - let us know before you arrive. The more we know, the better we can prepare.

Bringing a familiar blanket or toy when your dog is staying with us can be a real comfort. We're always happy for them to have something that smells of home.

Regular visits, even when nothing's wrong, are one of the best things you can do for a nervous dog. The more ordinary the clinic feels, the less daunting it becomes.

Pheromone sprays and calming supplements can make a real difference for anxious dogs. If you'd like advice on what's available, just ask the team.

FAQs

There’s a lot we can do! From the way we've designed our clinics to how our team approaches every interaction, everything here is set up to reduce stress. If your dog has particular anxieties, let us know before your visit - we can adjust our approach, allow extra time, and talk through whether any pre-visit calming support would help.

Please do - we actively encourage it. A trip to the pet pic’n’mix wall and a friendly hello from the team helps your dog build positive associations with the clinic, which makes a real difference when they do come in for treatment.

Absolutely. Our clinics are set up for dogs of all sizes - we even have XXL kennels where they can stretch out and be comfy - and our teams are well versed in the specific needs that come with larger breeds.

They'll be in a dedicated dog ward, well away from cats, with a spacious kennel and orthopaedic bedding to keep them comfortable. You'll receive photo updates through the app throughout the day so you always know how they're getting on.
